Girls in Action

Girls in Action (GA) is WMU's missions organization for girls in grades one through five.  GA members are actively involved in learning about missions, praying for and giving to missions and actually doing missions themselves.  Girls in Action is an adventure in discovering the joy of Missions.

Girls in Action will:
 Learn about God's mission
Come to know Christ as Savior and Lord
 Grow in Faith
 Participate in On-Mission activities
 Learn and apply God's Word
  (scripture memorization, etc.)
 Pray for missionaries
 Give to missions
 Develop and use mission skills
Learn about and support the mission work
of our church (Food Pantry, etc.)
GA's is for 1st thru 5th Grade girls and seeks to create an excitement about missions' learning and involvement.  Through participation, girls begin to realize their potential and worth as individuals.  They realize that God has given them skills and abilities that they can use to help others.  GA's meet on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.  After attending at committed six weeks, the girls can earn their sash, pin, patch, chevron, and world venture book.  GA's are involved in various interest activities (crafts, outings, etc.) and have different mission projects each month (food drive, Lottie Moon Offering, etc.)
